Ann T. Zalek, BS, NCTMB, CEIM is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Bodyworker (NCTMB), Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM), Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) and Third Degree Reiki Master/Teacher (Usui Shiki) at TheraCare Therapeutic Massage & Healing Arts Center, Ann Arbor. She is a graduate of Towson State University (cum laude) and the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy; and is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), the International Association of Infant Massage and its U.S. chapter, Infant Massage USA. Ann is certified in Myofascial Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage/Massage for the Childbearing Year®, Infant Massage and has received advanced training in Reiki and Craniosacral Therapy. She conducts classes at TheraCare, Lamaze Family Center, Washtenaw Community College and at satellite locations. Ann is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider. Ann has a background in health care communications (15+ years), and has also worked in health care settings as a massage therapist.
Kathryn Hannan is a graduate of University of Michigan with high distinctions majoring in social and cognitive psychology. She graduated from Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy, is a nationally certified massage therapist and bodyworker, and a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). Her specialties include: deep tissue modalities (certified in neuromuscular therapy and myofascial therapies), pregnancy massage (certified in pregnancy and postpartum massage) body readings and sports massage. She also is skilled in the art of relaxation modalities, such as Swedish massage and reflexology. Hot stones may be incorporated for a relaxation or deep tissue massage. She has studied various forms of energy work and is trained in reiki III. Kathryn also enjoys the privilege of instructing on the various modalities of massage therapy as well as communications, and boundary & ethics classes.
