TheraCare is a privately owned massage office that provides therapeutic and medical massage. Many of TheraCare’s clients have prescriptions for massage therapy. Therapists must have a good understanding of how to effectively treat muscle related complaints (such as low back pain, rotator cuff and neck issues), the ability to come up with a treatment plan, and knowledge of appropriate stretching and strengthening exercises to promote balance. Therapists need to have graduated from an accredited school and be state licensed. Also, therapists need to be trained or certified in deep tissue modalities such as Myofascial Therapy and Neuromuscular Therapy and must provide their own liability equivalent to AMTA or ABMP.
TheraCare provides its therapists with a relaxing yet professional environment and empowers them to learn and grow in the field of medical massage. Therapists are part time independent contractors and are competitively compensated. Therapists are paid a flat rate per massage of $30 – 40 per 1 hour massage based on experience. (Rates do not change if TheraCare gives discounts to clients.) TheraCare also offers an Apprentice Program to professional therapists who want/need additional education in medical massage. Apprentice Therapists will earn $25 per hour massage while in training and then advance in pay upon completion.
Dates and times that are available include: evenings and weekends, and some mornings
